At Booth #5 in the Main Section, TOMAS REDRADO ART showcases an array of intertwining techniques: utopian/dystopian led-lit drawings by Francisco Montes (b. 1995, Buenos Aires, ARG), urban-slang paintings from Maggie Petroni (b. 1986, Buenos Aires, ARG), border-breaking paintings by Mariana Ferrari (b. 1975, Tucumán, ARG), textile sculptures by Jessica Trosman (b.1966, Buenos Aires, ARG), a new photographic project by Flavia da Rin (b. 1978, Buenos Aires, ARG) paraffin and dirt paintings by Benjamín Felice (b. 1990, Tucumán, ARG), along with fluorescent paintings by Luna Sudaca (b. 1996, La Matanza, ARG) and photographic sculptures by Carolina Magnin (b. 1975, Buenos Aires, ARG).

Texto Introducción

Mariana Ferrari (b.1975, Tucumán, Argentina) studied at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Tucumán and has been residing in Buenos Aires since 2004. Between 2002 and 2005, she received the Creation Scholarship from the Antorchas Foundation, and in 2009, the Training Scholarship from the National Fund for the Arts. She participated in the Petrobras Prize in 2004 and 2009. In 2013, she completed the Artist Program at the Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires.

Among her solo exhibitions, the following stand out: “Casi blanco” Provincial Museum of Fine Arts T. Navarro, Tucumán, 2001; “Visita” Jardín Oculto Gallery, Buenos Aires, 2009. “Similitudes lejanas, afinidades secretas” Praxis Gallery, Buenos Aires, 2013; “Fósil Salvaje” Big Sur Gallery, Buenos Aires, 2015; “Sí, no y otras opciones” Móvil Arte Contemporáneo, Buenos Aires, 2019. “Claro que sí” TOMAS REDRADO ART, Miami, USA, 2023.

She has participated in exhibitions such as “Los 90 en los 90” Provincial Museum of Fine Arts T. Navarro, Tucumán. “Colectivos y Asociados” Casa de América, Madrid, 2002; “Material Doesn’t Matter,” Distrito 4 Gallery, Madrid, 2007; “El mundo cabe en una obra” Bienal Sur, Memorial de América Latina, São Paulo, 2017; “En el ejercicio de las cosas. Las decisiones del tacto” Casa de América, Madrid, 2017; Braque Prize, Muntref, Buenos Aires, 2019. Between 2018 and 2019, she was part of the group of artists in Boca de Fuego residency (collective workshops of the MUNAR project in Buenos Aires), and her recent group exhibitions include: “Acople,” Roldán Moderno, 2019, and “Inédita,” Barro Gallery, Buenos Aires, 2020.

She participated in “Un lento venir viniendo. Works from the Oxenford Collection” at MAC Niteroi, Brazil, 2022, where she not only exhibited her work but also designed the exhibition display alongside Sebastian Gordin and Miguel Mitlag.

Her work is currently on display in “Cien caminos en un solo día” curated by Jimena Ferreiro until February 2024, at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires.
