BENJAMÍN FELICE

BENJAMÍN FELICE (Tucumán, 1990) have a photography and Cinematography degree. In 2011 he participated in the Talent Campus Buenos Aires as a young audiovisual producer. In 2014 he participated in the Project Artistic Practices and Digital Cultures, Convergent Technologies and Divergent Content in Electronic Arts on a collaborative project with the Media and Interfaces Laboratory from Tucuman National University and conducted the Workshop on analysis and monitoring of theoretical and practical productions in Visual Arts of the National Endowment for the Arts (FNA).

In 2015 he participated in the Biennial of Young Art from Buenos Aires. In 2016 he received the Bicentennial Scholarship from the National Endowment for the Arts, participated in the Opera Prima Salon at National House of the Bicentennial, did a residency at the Buenos Aires Project La Ira de Dios, participated with the Onion group by Cynthia Cohen and Zoe di Renzo for the Collective exhibition of digital art AHH, participate in Absurdisms, an exhibition in Miranda Bosch Gallery curated by artists Matías Ercole and Laura Ojeda Bar and did an exhibition in Piedras Gallery called DOODLES. In 2017 was part of the Artists Program of the Torcuato di Tella University and participated in a Collective exhibition in Panal Gallery curated by the Argentinian artist Carlos Herrera. In 2018 he was awarded a scholarship to be part of “Boca de Fuego” residency project at Centro Munar coordinated by the artist Carlos Herrera in La Boca where he lived from 2018 to 2020.

He made his first solo show, “Obito Display”, which was published in ArteBa magazine in 2018, on the project Movil during September of the same year. In 2019 was part of Yungas contemporary art with a collective exhibition at the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), during the same year, he participated in the Visual Arts Salon of the National Endowment for the Arts at the National House of the Bicentennial.

In 2020 was selected to participate in the international fair Utopia from ArteBA Foundation with his experimental project OHNO Gallery. In 2021 participated in the collective exhibition ‘Inedita” at Barro Gallery with the artists Alejandra Seeber, Nicanor Araoz, Monica Giron, Matias Duville between others. In the same year participated in the collective exhibition “Adentro no hay mas que una morada” curated by Alejandra Aguado in the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (MAMBA).

With his experimental project OHNO Gallery, did a series of curatorial proposal involving VR experiences, site specific exhibitions, publications and digital exhibitions involving artists from all over the country, a collaborative project with Solo show project (London) and participated in the 2021 and 2022 edition of ArteBA Fair with a structural installation, a conceptual piece as booth. In 2022 did a solo show in NN Gallery called “DIABLO CAUDILLO” and did a dual show in OHNO Gallery with the artist Juan Ojeda called “CANTO NOVENO”. He participated as a musician in the labels ABYSS (BA), Corona Records (BA) and Memory number 36 (California EEUU). He directs the magazine R.A.F. (Federal art magazine) that published its second edition in February of 2022. He lives and works in Buenos Aires.
